This can be purchased by anyone on sites such as eBay or in builders merchants, allowing for poorly installed jobs, leading to leaking a flat roof.
Is the material effected by UV? No. No.
Cost. The material costs of RubberBond FleeceBack EPDM are higher than that of EPDM due to the increased manufacturing cost of creating a superior material.  Generally this isn’t reflected in the cost to the roof owner.
Are they reinforced? Yes.
With a strong polyester fleece laminated to the underside of the membrane.

Which is stronger? FleeceBack is proven to have 180% greater tear resi stance than 1.52mm roofing membrane. Standard EPDM is 1.14mm thick.
Can it be punctured? FleeceBack provides 40% greater puncture resistance than 1.52mm membrane.  Standard EPDM is 1.14mm thick.
Maintenance. No.
The roofing membrane is also moss and fungus resistant.

Shrinkage. None. No, providing the roof is installed with base ties at angle changes to stop tenting of the membrane (Base tie ins are mechanically fixing the membrane to the deck to secure it).
